Message from the
Cultural Director

Spotlight_ElaineMessage

Greetings!

On behalf of our Parker Arts team, I wanted you to know that we miss seeing your smiling faces…and we aren’t talking about your masks. Every one of our staff members believes passionately in the positive impact that arts and culture have on everyone’s daily life. When we see your smiles at the PACE Center and The Schoolhouse, we know we’ve done our job.

But with our closures, we’ve lost even more than your smiles…we’ve lost significant revenue. We’ve cancelled or postponed almost 100 shows, events and educational classes. Although the Town of Parker provides critical financial support, the majority of our costs are covered by ticket revenue, event rentals, class registrations, and philanthropic contributions from our members and donors.

Although our buildings are closed, we’re working hard to keep you entertained and educated, by offering online youth dance classes and providing creative activities via enews and Facebook. We are working hard to reschedule concerts – it looks like Face Vocal Group will be at PACE on August 22 and Saturday Night Live Alumni on September 25! We are also planning for our next great presented season. But now more than ever, we rely on you, our remarkable Parker Arts patrons, to come together to support your hometown cultural center. With your support, Parker will continue to be a place where you can see live theater and nationally known musical artists close to home, where your family can learn and grow, and where local artists can thrive.

Support the arts!

There are many ways you can support Parker Arts:

MAKE A ONE-TIME DONATION

Make an even greater impact in advancing arts and culture for your community through tax-deductible opportunities. Parker Arts is a municipal tax-exempt entity and all contributions to the Town of Parker are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable.

DONATE YOUR TICKETS

We can convert the value of your tickets to canceled shows to a tax deductible donation to our Parker Arts Cultural Education and Outreach fund which helps pay for free public events and for public school children to attend performances at our facilities.  We rely heavily on ticket purchases such as yours in order to offer the vast array of quality programming and free events that the community has come to expect, and we want to be able to continue doing so in the foreseeable future.
