Welcome to an evening hour of fun performing improvisation games with others.  All ages can join Parker Theatre Academy as we learn and perform improv games online. This virtual workshop will work for those that are advanced in improvisation performance and those that have never performed in an improv game ever!  You can improv with your little sister, your mom, your grandpa, your cat, or whomever your currently sharing your safer-at-home space with.

Are you an aspiring actor interested in getting a peek into the professional world of theater?  Are you a parent of a budding performer with high aspirations? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live the actor’s life?  Join us for a one of a kind seminar with professional New York based actor Jay Paranada for an exploration of life behind the curtain. Jay was most recently seen in Denver in the Broadway First National tour of Disney’s Aladdin as the dastardly (and scene stealing) parrot sidekick Iago. During this one hour session, Jay will discuss how to build your business when your business is you.

Monologue Intensive

Virtually work your monologues with area professionals and receive personalized feedback that can help you take your monologue to the next level. Students that feel comfortable can perform their monologues during the final showcase.

Sketch Comedy Fundamentals: Part Two - Performing

Ages: 18-Adult
Join Grant Garrison for 10 weeks online as you take some sketch material written in Part One, review how we could adapt it for an online performance plus write new material for an online performance; and begin casting, and rehearsing the material until it is ready to perform! Using improvisational acting, we will analyze our improv scenes to review what worked, why it worked and how to improve the scene until it grows into a prepared sketch.
All students will laugh and bond together using a wide range of improv exercises and techniques as the students write without ever writing anything down on paper.
